Golf At Mount Snow this season. The Mount Snow Golf Course has matured into one of Vermont's premier mountain courses and has been rated one of the top five in the state by Golf Digest. Designed by New England course architect Geoffrey Cornish, our 18-hole championship course has also been named one of the top 10 resort courses in the country by SKI Magazine.
The course meanders through spectacular Vermont countryside and provides stunning views of the Green Mountains, including the peaks of Mount Snow and Haystack. Picture tamaracks, oaks, birches and sugar maples lining fairways while the mountains provide a majestic backdrop. The front nine is spread over scenic expanses and the back nine winds its way through wooded terrain. Water comes into play on 11 holes and 41 sand traps are strategically located around nearly every hole. The course sits 2,000 feet above sea level. To get the most out of your golf experience you will love playing 18 Monday-Thursday but not limited.
“Come experience the 13th best 9-hole course in the world “World class golf at everyday greens fees.”
Located in Walpole, New Hampshire. Hooper Golf Course strikes the perfect balance of challenging and attainable, and most importantly fun! Scratch golfers will relish the unique questions the undulating greens and angles of the fairways ask. Beginners will enjoy the wide fairways, options for playing the ball on the ground onto the green, and everyone will appreciate the friendly and accommodating Pro Shop staff and members. Our Friendly tees, which cut the distance of each hole by about half, cater to beginners and those looking to enjoy a shorter route to the greens. For those looking to play 18 holes Hooper has White tees for the front and separate Blue tees for the back, as well as Red and Gold Forward tees. Hooper’s architectural design, tees for every skill level, friendly and welcoming faces make any round at Hooper Perfectly Playable.
Ellinwood Country Club in Athol boasts a unique 18-hole layout with nine holes designed by Donald Ross and another nine designed by Geoffrey Cornish. Having two different designers gives the golf course plenty of variety, especially since the holes are intermingling. Cornish's greens are bigger and flatter while the Ross holes feature some of his characteristic greens and bunkers. Water hazards come into play as well and you'll face a few tricky doglegs and blind shots. There are some challenging holes but overall, it's not an overly difficult golf course. The average player can still approach it with confidence. With a secluded location in rural western Massachusetts, Ellinwood Country Club offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The 11th hole is the Ross Signature Hole, with a winding brook that runs alongside the fairway before cutting in front of the green, is particularly scenic.
